ANNETT ZINSMEISTER ![]() One vital aspect of Annett Zinsmeister’s artistic research is her engagement with the notion of seriality. Her spatial installations and serial images focus and transform the serial succession of and within objects as well as their utopian, historical and technical conditions. In its seemingly endless repetition, mass architecture exposes its calculated efficency: oscillating between deterrence and fascination. Annett Zinsmeister studied fine arts, architecture and media theory in Stuttgart and Berlin, graduating from the University of Fine Arts in Berlin. She has numerous projects, publications and exhibitions in the field of architecture, art, design and theory to her credit. Since 2007 she has been Professor for Conceptional Design at the Staatlich Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Stuttgart. From 2003 to 2007 she was Professor at the Kunsthochschule Berlin –Weissensee and Bergische Universität Wuppertal; in 2000 she held a lecturer position at the Bauhaus-University Weimar and a position as Assistant Professor at the Technical University Dresden. Since 2002 her work has been part of the collection and permanent exhibition of the Karl Ernst Osthaus - Museum in Hagen, Germany. |
